Stories behind the names
Every Valkyrie piece carries the name of a figure from Norse myth. The choice is never decoration. Each name is a brief for how the garment should feel to move in, and a promise the fabric has to keep. Here is where a few of them come from.
Freya · the one who moves first
Freya rode ahead of the gods and chose who rose after battle. Grace and command in the same breath. We gave her name to the pieces you reach for on the days that ask the most of you: the Freya Leggings and Freya Sports Bra, built to hold their shape through a full session and disappear while you work.
Skadi · the winter huntress
Skadi walked the frozen mountains on her own terms and married the sea without ever leaving the cold behind. Her name sits on our warmest layers, the Skadi Fleece Shirt and Fleece Pants, made for the training that does not stop when the temperature drops.
Thor · weight you can carry
The most direct name in the collection, for the most direct piece. The Thor Jacket is structure and shelter, cut to move with you rather than hang off you. Strength that is meant to be used, not admired from a distance.
Njord · sea, wind, and the long day
Njord governed the coast and the winds that crossed it, the god you wanted with you for anything that lasted. His name belongs to the pieces that go the distance with you: the Njord Socks, the Njord Hydration Bottle, the small essentials that quietly decide how a day ends.
Hildr · the name that never rests
Hildr was a Valkyrie whose name means battle itself. There was no version of her that stood still. The Hildr Sports Hijab is built in that spirit, engineered to stay exactly where you place it through every rep, so the last thing on your mind is your kit.
Valkyrie · the whole idea, in one word
The Valkyrie chose. She decided who was ready. That is the standard every piece here is held to, and it is why the name sits on the pieces we are proudest of, from the Valkyrie Set to the Padel Dress. Style that has earned its place, meeting strength that does not need to announce itself.
